The Boston Early Music Festival is almost here! The 2017 BEMF runs from this coming Sunday June 11 through Sunday June 18. Visit their website to plan a week full from morning until late at night of concerts, master classes, lectures, dance, and much more.

American Recorder Society Events
at BEMF

The American Recorder Society, of which BRS is a chapter affiliate, is sponsoring several events of particular interest to our community. (For additional information, visit the ARS website.)

Friday June 16, 10:00am-2:00pm
The ARS Recorder Relay
Free! Four hours of recitals from nearly a dozen different ensembles, featuring some of our coaches and other local performers. Special guest appearance from Teresa Deskur, teenage winner of Piffaro's 2016 National Recorder Competition for Young Players. Come and go at any time during the performances.

Recorder Play-In
Free! All are invited to a coached playing session. Bring a music stand and your instruments. We request that you please RSVP if you plan to attend; although not required, doing so helps ensure less waste of valuable playing time getting set up!
