Register now for the 2015-2016 season!
If you play recorders, baroque flute or other early winds, or baroque strings, we're looking forward to making music with you! Please join us for the 2015-2016 season, our 61st year of playing together.
Our BRS ensemble groups meet at Lesley University's University Hall in Porter Square, Cambridge one Sunday evening per month, from 6:30-9:00PM. We take a break mid-evening for socializing and refreshments.
Please register and then RSVP
for our season opener: Sunday, September 20, 6:30-9:00PM.
We encourage you to bring a snack to share for our September meeting--savory or sweet nibbles, fruit, or something to drink. We provide paper goods. Beginning in October, we ask a different ensemble group to provide refreshments each month--watch the newsletter for your group's assignment.

Membership Options for 2015-2016
See the BRS Website
for online and mail-in registration and payment forms.
Basic members can attend single ensemble sessions at the member discount rate of $20 per session. (Basic membership fee is tax-deductible.)

Full-year Ensemble Membership:
$155, or $135 for seniors, full-time students, ARS, R/EMM members

Fall-semester Renaissance Flute Ensemble Membership:
$70, or $60 for seniors, full-time students, ARS, R/EMM members
Attend four monthly sessions (September through December) at ensemble member rates.
Note: If our membership fees would be a hardship, a limited number of scholarships are available. Contact the BRS treasurer for a confidential discussion of your situation.
Based on the success of last year's workshop, we will again offer a special half-day for players who love to play low recorders: tenor, bass, C-bass, Great bass, or Contra-bass. Watch for dates and registration details coming soon.
Fall Workshop for Low Recorders Planned
We will be in need of recorders lower than bass to use in this workshop. If you have one that you can lend, we would be most grateful if we could arrange to borrow it for this workshop.
BRS board, teachers, and members were saddened by the passing of our friend and teacher, Tom Zajak. Tom has been part of the early music family in the US for many years and he will be dearly missed. We extend our condolences to his family and friends.
